Mr. Akhil Kumar Gawar is a Director with the Government of Telangana currently looking after food procesing in the Department of Industries and Commerce. He is also leading the Telangana State Food Procesing Society. As per his current role, he is responsible for framing the state policy for promotion of food processing industries and food preservation infrastructure. He is working with Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation to build a Mega food park and various industrial parks in the state for food processing industries. Akhil also works closely with RICH (Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad) to promote upcoming startups in agri tech and food processing space. Akhil brings extensive and diverse experience from the private sector having worked with large and well known companies in healthcare and FMCG domain. He has an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and did his undergraduate from IIT Delhi as an electrical engineering major.
